M.A. Comparative Politics · M.A. Economics · Quito, Ecuador
I hold a Master's degree in Comparative Politics from FLACSO Ecuador and an M.A. in Economics from Universidad EAFIT (Colombia). My research sits at the intersection of democratic legitimacy, state capacity, political economy, and violence in Latin America. I employ quantitative methods—including panel data analysis, cluster analysis, and survey-based approaches—to study how weak institutions, personalist leadership, and organized crime reshape democratic governance across the region.
